As a wife, if your husband is a non-believer, it is no reason to act in any rebellious way because you are frustrated that they don’t come to the Lord by you telling them to. It is motivated by love for them of course, but that method usually causes marital conflict. It could sound to him like nagging and it says in Proverbs 21:19 NIV, that it’s better to live in a dessert than with a nagging wife.
The Bible tells us that we must submit to our husbands whether they are believers or not.
Your conduct as a believing wife, not your preaching to him, may be the breakthrough he needs. It is by modeling godly behavior through submitting to his leadership, in obedience to God’s Word that he may become a believer too.
The word says “may” not “will”, because it is a choice your husband has to make, God does not force His will on anyone and neither can you. However, you can also pray that your loving conduct be such that your husband is inspired to want to know and walk with Christ too.
1 Peter 3:1-2NIV
Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,
when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.
