Our Heavenly Father expects us to be faithful both husband and wife. He has one very good reason, amongst others, in that He wants us to raise godly children.
Malachi 2:15 NIV
[15] Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.
Let us keep our marriage beds pure, by being intimate with our own husbands only and them with us as their own wives only.
The world is filled with all sorts of glamorous ways and means to defile this intimate relationship between husband and wife and glorify unfaithfulness. Many use the excuse “Everybody does it.”, NO, “EVERYBODY DOES NOT DO IT!”
Where is our self-control?! It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit in us, let’s cultivate it and nurture it.
Galatians 5:22-23NIV
But the fruit of the Spirit is ….self-control.
Obedience to God’s Word in this area will always lead to greater satisfaction in our marriage and in our lives.
If we love Jesus we will keep his commands.
