Respect propels your husband to greatness

Wives must respect their husbands. This is not someone’s opinion, it is an instruction from the Word of God found in Ephesians 5:33 NIV.

Respect can be likened to a propeller you find on certain aircraft. A propeller uses air which it forces in a specific direction that thrusts an airplane forward.

In the same way our respect propels our husbands forward to confidently be a “go getter”, to achieve all God has created them to be, to aspire to greater and higher callings, to conquer the world, to “subdue the earth”( Genesis 1:28NIV). If you ask any husband who truly serves God, he will tell you he does it all for his wife and kids anyway. If he knows his wife is behind him, he can do anything God requires Him to do.

When the propeller shuts down, it begins to spin slower and slower until it eventually stops. The airplane can no longer move forward, let alone move at all. The same with a lack of respect from his wife, a man starts progressing slower and slower until he eventually feels so emasculated he just sits there, paralyzed, making no progress at all.

Be encouraged to propel your husband forward by giving him the kind of respect God expects of you. This plays a significant role in his success and you can only benefit.
