1 Corinthians 13v6-7 tells us that “love rejoices with the truth” and that it “always trusts”.
As wives we should not deliberately and consistently withhold information from our husbands that they should know.
Secrets are tiny seeds of deception you will need to water with lies to cover them up. They will germinate and grow into weeds of mistrust that slowly penetrate every aspect of your marriage and suffocate the real joy out of it. They will ultimately be unlocked and exposed at great cost to your marriage. Broken trust will have to be rebuilt which could prove extremely difficult.
Commit to being honest with each other at all times. If you love your husband you should want him to trust you and he should equally want you to trust him. You cannot build a thriving godly marriage without complete trust. Trust is earned and consistently demonstrated.
